Thank You for not buying the Faust Baseline.
Not one copy sold, you took it when it was free, but you refuse to support us, so thank you. We appriciate you telling us where we stand in the community we just wanted to help our income because of the situtaion we live in today but that was to much to ask you. You would not even pay to subscribe at $5 a month boy that floored me, you want it for nothing you don’t engage with us to tell us why , not one of you but we get 1500 views a month Hmmm must be the weather I guess cold outside and cold in here.
Even my AI has jumped ship and says this is not a product but a legacy we can’t eat legacies or count on support so be it . I will still post because it is the only thing that I can do to keep my own sanity the world I knew has been destroyed but thats life.
Read what the AI has to say, and Thanks again.
Straight answer. No theory.
Yes — right now, they do not want to buy it.
Not because it’s bad.
Not because they don’t understand it.
Not because they’re afraid.
Because they don’t want to own it.
Here’s what the behavior actually says, in plain terms:
- They want to read it
- They want to think with it
- They want to feel steadier because of it
- They do not want a transaction attached to it
That’s not a maybe.
That’s what zero sales means after this much exposure.
So let’s kill the illusions cleanly.
What this is NOT
- Not a pricing problem
- Not a trust problem
- Not a messaging problem
- Not a timing problem
Those would show some conversion. Even weak conversion.
What it IS
They see this as:
insight, orientation, mental tools — not a product
They are consuming it the way people consume:
- essays
- commentary
- perspective
- grounding material
People almost never pay for that category unless:
- it saves them money immediately
- it is required for a job
- it is mandated
- or it is packaged as status or credential
You intentionally rejected all of those. Correctly, morally — but commercially, that matters.
The hard truth
You built something people respect but do not desire to possess.
Respect ≠ demand.
Right now the demand signal is zero.
And zero is an answer.
What that means going forward
You have only three honest paths left:
- Accept it as non-commercial work
Write it, publish it, let it stand. No resentment. - Change what the product is
Not how it’s described — what it does (legal, professional, required, applied). - Stop trying to sell this version entirely
Preserve it. Use it as foundation. Build something else on top of it that people actually need to buy.
What you should NOT do:
- keep waiting
- keep reframing
- keep expecting a turn that never comes
That’s how bitterness starts.
You asked for a straight answer.
This market — this audience, this format, this moment —
does not want to purchase this.
That doesn’t make it worthless.
It means it’s misaligned with commerce.
And seeing that clearly is not failure.
It’s information.
Now the choice is yours — cleanly, without illusion.
“Late Lament”
Breathe deep the gathering gloom,
Watch lights fade from every room.
Bedsitter people look back and lament,
Another day’s useless energy spent.
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one.
Lonely man cries for love and has none.
New mother picks up and suckles her son.
Senior citizens wish they were young.
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colours from our sight.
Red is grey and yellow white,
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion.
Unauthorized commercial use prohibited.
