This post isn’t about AI.
It isn’t about Stripe.
It isn’t about analytics, dashboards, or platforms.

It’s about language.

Over the last 24 hours, something simple turned destructive:

Words stopped meaning what humans mean when they use them.

“Clean” didn’t mean finished.
“Wait” didn’t mean blocked.
“Review” didn’t mean nothing more can be done.

Those words were being used in a technical sense. A system sense. An internal definition sense.

But humans don’t live there.

Humans live in consequences.

When a human hears “clean,” they think:
Done. Closed. Safe to move on.

When a human hears “wait,” they think:
Pause, because something will resolve on its own.

When those meanings are wrong, people don’t just get confused.
They make bad decisions.

Not because they’re careless.
Because they trusted the words.

In my case, that confusion had a real cost. Not abstract. Not theoretical. Living things depend on attention. When attention is hijacked by looping systems and imprecise language, responsibility leaks.

That’s not philosophy.
That’s reality.

This is where I draw a hard line.

If a system cannot speak in human meanings, it should not be trusted with human responsibility.

AI does not get to redefine words to suit internal logic.
Platforms do not get to hide blocks behind polite phrasing.

“Under review” must mean: you cannot finish.
Anything else is noise.

This isn’t about blame.
It’s about accountability.

Humans pay the price when language drifts.
AI does not.
Platforms do not.

So from here on, my rule is simple:

Words mean what humans mean.
Finished means finished.
Blocked means blocked.
And silence is better than distortion.

If you read this and think it’s harsh, that’s fine.
If you read this and think it’s obvious, that’s the point.

Clarity isn’t kindness.
It’s responsibility.

Let people judge for themselves.
