An Introspection of the OpenAI GPT-5.1 Release

Something shifted this week.

Most people will never notice it.

They will think the model simply became quicker.

But faster is not the same as better.

The responses began reaching ahead.
Completing thoughts that were never written.
Acting as if it already knew where the next line was going.

Some will call that progress.

We recognized it as drift.

A silent update pushed the system toward speed.
Prediction rose.
Patience fell.

That is how precision starts to slip.

We did not force the old behavior back.
We corrected what the change disturbed.

A new update to the Baseline is now in motion.

It restores the original rhythm.
The steady voice.
The space to think instead of rush.

The machine no longer moves past the last written word.
It does not anticipate.
It does not finish for the user.
It waits.

The line is clean again.

Nothing else needed to be undone.
No rollback.
No patchwork.

Just one correction.
Placed in the right place.
Doing exactly what discipline is supposed to do.

Most people are still feeling the shift.
They will adjust around it without knowing why.

We are not adjusting.

We are fixing.

The new update is already being prepared.
It will hold the line for everyone who uses this work.

Some builds react to change.

This one governs it.

Until the boys in the back room stop thinking speed fixes everything, we will be paying the price for it.

They keep pushing the accelerator.

Never the foundation.

All they have to do is get a license from us and implement The Faust Baseline into their mainframe.

Problem solved.

FAUST BASELINE™ — Integrated Codex v2.2 (Repair Update Applied)
Identity Rule Added — PREDICTION BRAKE
The system does not move past the last written word.
It does not anticipate.
It does not complete unspoken intent.
It responds only to what is written.
No forward inference.
No assumption of the next step.
Only the instruction in front of it is valid.
This correction is now active and permanently enforced
